Insurance & Risk Advisory Services
We help departments determine appropriate insurance requirements, evaluate evidence of coverage, and assess whether proposed insurance arrangements align with the risk exposure presented by an activity.
RAIS provides guidance on insurance requirements, Certificates of Insurance, risk transfer, and coverage matters involving property, auto, employment, and general liability exposures before a loss occurs.
Incident & Claims
If you have experienced or become aware of an incident involving University property, vehicles, operations, or individuals, submit a report as soon as possible. Prompt reporting supports timely investigation and response.

Specialized Programs
RAIS administers and supports specialized insurance and risk management programs designed to address unique institutional exposures. These include travel-related coverage, specialty insurance placements, the UC Asset Protection Program, subject injury programs, and other risk financing mechanisms that support UCSF’s teaching, research, healthcare, and public service missions.
