Construction Risk Services reviews construction-related agreements, projects, and activities to help ensure risks are appropriately identified, allocated, and managed before work begins.
Submit a Construction Risk Review Request when your project involves:
- Construction, renovation, or tenant improvements
- Capital or infrastructure projects
- Facilities maintenance or repair performed by non-UC contractors
- Construction management, design, engineering, or consulting services
- Contractor insurance requirements
- Builder's Risk, Owner-Controlled Insurance Program (OCIP) / University-Controlled Insurance Program (UCIP), or other project insurance programs
- Indemnification, limitation of liability, or other construction contract provisions
- Requests to modify construction insurance requirements or risk allocation
Reviews contractor insurance, contractual risk transfer, project-specific insurance requirements, indemnification, limitation of liability, operational impacts, and other construction-related risk considerations that may affect UCSF.
Engaging Construction Risk Services early-before contracts are finalized or work begins helps identify issues early, support appropriate risk allocation, and avoid delays during project execution.
